Physiotherapy

I have heard countless testimonials from clients who have tried a wide array of treatments- from chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, physical therapy, and even their regular doctor but have yet to see lasting results. Something is often missed, resulting in short- term gains and most often, relapse.

However, a core component may be missed- the powerful role that the mind has in their journey to healing. What I offer as a Physical Therapist is unique. I look at the whole picture- mind, body, and soul to identify what it is that is preventing a person from attaining lasting results. Often, one of these elements is unbalanced, creating chronic pain, self-imposed limitations, and barriers for change.

As a 2021 Graduate with Distinction of the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Diploma, I use evidence-based practice, psychosocial approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness, to promote long-term healing. Techniques can be used over a person’s lifetime, lessening the chances of relapse. As a 2008 graduate of the University of Manitoba Physical Therapy and 2020 University of Western Post-Graduate Masters of Clinical Sciences in Manipulative Therapy, I have extensive training in manual therapy to offer evidence-based rehabilitation. With the assistance of Physio-Tec, all prescriptions for exercises and education are sent directly to your phone or tablet in video format. With electronic scheduling, video conferencing, and direct billing, clients have one less thing to worry about regarding COVID-19.
