Yoga

As a registered Physical Therapist, I have seen my clients struggle with flexibility, stress, chronic pain, and a cluttered mind. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) Yoga Alliance graduate, I offer yoga as a way to improve health and wellness, reduce stress, and connect the body with the mind and soul. Whether you are an athlete looking to attain focus, body awareness, enhanced performance, improved balance, or recovery from training, yoga is an excellent option. For those who are new to yoga-whether you are a new mother or stay-at- home parent, yoga offers a way to devote time to yourself, rehabilitate the body following pregnancy, enhance physical conditioning and improve sleep, cultivates patience, and improves confidence in learning a new skill. In those suffering from chronic pain, depression, or anxiety, yoga offers the benefits of increased mindfulness, body awareness, acceptance, and may improve overall health by reducing pain and stress.

Specialty series tailors yoga sessions specific to individual needs. From those new to yoga, the beginner series is useful for those with little to no experience and builds confidence to continue towards more advanced sessions. As a Physical Therapist, yoga for low back pain is an option. For athletes, yoga for cyclists and runners are available. With increased use of technology, yoga for the desk worker mitigates the effects of sitting at your desk for long periods of time. Each series runs from four to eight weeks on a quarterly basis.
